WELCOME TO YOUNG ZOOMERS CLUB

We were established in the year 2019 with the purpose of providing a basic education to students who are from economically poor sections of the society. Most of the students are from Integrated Development Programme for Learning School ( IDPL ), which originally occupied a building in IDPL Colony, Hyderabad. In 2018 this school was closed by IDPL security due to some financial problems, losing their spacious class rooms, Science Lab, Computer Lab, Library & all sophisticated infrastructure.

Currrently the club is lead by Mr. Modampuri Rakesh Raju, who was the Head Boy of the ICFAI Republic School in the year 2015, in the same building. The club now consists of seventeen students of similar level age group, who always aspire to learn and extend themselves in a better way.

The story of the club starts with Mr. Rakesh's younger brother Achi, who is one among the seventeen. He one day approached his brother asking to help him & his friends to teach the subjects which they were feeling really difficult to understand. He agreed & proceeded, later they found his classes really interesting, realistic & that's how it led to the formation of the Young Zoomers.

They now attend the tutorials in a private house under the direction of their volunteer teacher, Rakesh. Apart from teaching the academic subjects, the academy also focuses on the development of their personality & creative thinking.

This club is assisted with laptops and other equipment provided by Mr. Tom Holloway, a retired IBM Consultant Systems Engineer, who lives in Oxford, U.K and runs online lessons through zoom video conferencing platform. So far the students interest is concerned, he discusses about space, computers & basic video tutorials on OpenOffice, PPT etc...upgrading the students technologically.

This project mainly focuses on:
Computers and technology
Communication skills & Personality development
Scientific research with Heuristic methods of learning
Socialization
