Varun Karthik

Hello, I am R. Varun Karthik, student of Rakesh academy, sixteen years old, living in Balanagar, Hyderabad, India. My father's name is R. Venkatesh who works as a vegetable seller. My mother's name is R. Krishnaveni who is a home maker. I have a younger sister her name is
R. Vyshnavi, she is studying in VII class in IDPL high school.

I completed my grade X in 2020 successfully in IDPL High School. Currently I am pursuing my eleventh grade in Railway Junior College, Tarnaka, Hyderabad.

I am a good artist and I drew many drawings. To check my drawings please click on the gallery tab provided. My hobbies are cooking, playing sports and drawing. I am interested in Astronomy, History, Geography and listening to Indian epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata. I participated in many drawing competitions and did my level best to showcase my drawings and talent.
My goal is to pursue B.M.E {Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering} in Osmania University and earn enough money to help poor sections of society.

I thank my school for giving me a quality education at cheaper fee structure. I would like to thank my school teachers who taught us moral values and ethics. I would like to thank my volunteer teacher also my elder brother, Rakesh sir, for conducting private classes and guiding me in so many things.

I also would like to show my gratitude to Tom Holloway, an IBM Computer Consultant, who conducts online classes through Zoom as a platform.

LOOKING AT SMALL THINGS THROUGH A MICROSCOPE

I really enjoyed looking things in deep, because I feel the deeper we go the more we will learn.

I looked at a specimen of red blood cells through a compound microscope and also learnt how to prepare a slide and how to adjust the coarse and fine adjustment knobs in order to have a clear view of the specimen.

 

There are three types of blood cells as we all know, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Red blood cells are made in the bone marrow. They typically live for about 120 days, and then they die. Red blood cells play a very important role in our body. They carry fresh oxygen throughout the body. This is important to your health.They are round with a flattish indented at centre, like doughnuts without a hole as you can see on the right.

Haemoglobin is the protein inside red blood cells. It carries oxygen. Red blood cells also remove carbon dioxide from your body, transporting it to the lungs for you to exhale.
